Before "Stude Slybone" the player was Stu Simone the writer.  Stu Simone was one of the best-known photojournalists of the LA Hair Band explosion, writing and shooting for nearly a dozen magazines.  While nearly all the other writerswere out chasing after Missing Persons, Oingo Boingo and The Knack, Stu suddenly became "the metal guy."  His articles and photos gave fledgling young Strip bands like Motley Crue, Great White and Ratt their first major ink.  A series of controversial, in-depth interviews with Nikki Sixx helped Motley Crue rocket out of the LA scene.   Stu reviewed and photographed Motley's first gig...  see the next page for some rare photos!
